Department Scholarship Applications 2019-2020

The 2019-2020 Ron Hoover Memorial Scholarship, James T. Brown Forestry Scholarship and the Charles G and Helen W. Schober Memorial Scholarship application packets are now available: 2019-2020 Scholarship Applications. The application deadline for department scholarships is Friday, March 1st, by 5:00 PM in the department office, FR 205.

All other department scholarships are now available online through the Humboldt Financial Aid Office. These scholarships are available through Cal Poly Humboldt’s online scholarship application, click on the Scholarships link on the home page of your myHumboldt portal to start the application. Applications must be submitted by March 2nd, 2019.

In addition to the department scholarships, there are also many other scholarship opportunities for Forestry and Wildland Resources students. Here is a list of some of the scholarship opportunities currently available:

CA-NV Chapter, Soil and Water Conservation Society Scholarship 
The California-Nevada Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society is offering an annual $1000 scholarship to students who have complete two years of study and are enrolled in a program related to soil and water resources. Application deadline: February 28, 2019. Scholarship Information

Botany Research Scholarship Program

The Northern California Botanists is now accepting applications for the Botany Research Scholarship Program for the 2018 - 2019 academic year. See the application packet for more details on application guidelines and requirements. Application deadline: March 31th, 2019. Scholarship Application

Humboldt County Farm Bureau Scholarships
The Humboldt County Farm Bureau Scholarships provides scholarships to students who graduated from from Humboldt County High Schools or the surrounding area. The variety of scholarships are aimed at students who intend to pursue agriculture, forestry and natural resource sciences. Application deadline: April 1st, 2019. Scholarship Application

American Conifer Society Scholarship
The American Conifer Society is offering a $2,500 scholarship to undergraduate students with an interest in horticulture, specifically the study, development, and preservation of conifers. Application deadline: June 1st, 2019. Scholarship Application

Ben Meadows Natural Resource Scholarship
The Ben Meadows Natural Resource Scholarships are administered through the Society of American Foresters (SAF). Applicants must be enrolled in an SAF-accredited as a junior or senior enrolled in a natural resource program working toward a bachelor of arts or science degree. John Mabry Forestry Scholarship 
The Railway Tie Association is offering two $2,000.00 John Mabry Forestry Scholarships to juniors and seniors enrolled in an accredited Forestry program for the full school year. Application deadline: June 30th, 2019. Scholarship Application
